Hello everyone:-) This year the City To Surf will be run in Sydney on August 10th. Meredith normally enters this race with a small team but this year shell be in England when its run so wed resigned ourselves to having no-one taking part under our banner. So you can imagine how happy and surprised we were this morning to realise wonderful Donna Wilson and her equally wonderful husband Brendan have decided to enter the race to raise money for Boxes For Christmas. This is a hard race. Heartbreak Hill isnt called Heartbreak Hill for no reason and Im full of respect for anyone who takes part. So to think that Donna and Brendan would compete for us in the City to Surf is amazing. Their goal is to receive enough sponsorship to buy 100 elderly friends a Christmas present. Thats $1000 theyre aiming for. Theyve already raised $268 so theyre well on their way and its only March! You can support Donna and Brendan in one of two ways. 1. Share this post with your Facebook friends and ask them to support Donna and Brendan via the link to their Everyday Heroes page at the bottom of this post. Every $10 donated will buy one friend their only Christmas present. 2. Donate a few dollars yourself Or if you love running like Donna and Brendan think about taking part on August 10th too. You dont need to run either. If walking is your preferred option you can do just that and raise money for us at the same time. Thank you Donna and Brendan.
