Hello everyone! After a week back at work we both long to be out on the cliff tops and paths trecking once more and leaving this world behind........ The walk was an absolute laugh and great fun from start to finish despite some serious pain and the endurance to keep going! We have made and met many friends old & new along the way. This will be the most important memory of all. From The Barr family who greeted us in St Austell and sent us on our way, to my brother who joined us for the last walk from Widemouth Bay to the Canal lockgates in Bude(our agreed finishing point). An amazing experience that (though our feet may not want too!) we will/should repeat something like this again in the future – one sunny day! As a final sign off we would like to thank everyone as follows: 1. Those who joined us for the walk for a large or small part at some point: Derek, Tess, Jackie, Chris P, Judie, Jonny, Jane, Mike P, Geoff, Conor, Andy, Grum, Huw, Steve, Tim, Finlay the dog, Mike G, Chris M and Pete. 2. The support drivers who either carried us, our bags, or got us around to the coast path when we needed or helped out with spare plasters for my feet (Jackie) etc Alice, Caroline, Jonny, Jane, Martin, Steve, Tracey and Toby. 3. The cameo appearances from those who just gave us their support and helped with some drinks in bars along the coast! Adrian and his family (St Agnes/Bocastle), Chris’s Mum (Holywell Bay), Sue & Katherine (Harlyn Bay) and Rob & Johanna (Bude). A special thanks goes to Tess. She walked with us for 40 miles+ despite her dodgy knee, brought us medical supplies later when we needed them and supported us throughout, with humour and messages of encouragement all the way.
