Hello everyone, I decided to make a rather delayed post about EGs recent performance in LCS. We ended up going 4-0 in the last week of play during the regular season, but the team we had to pass in the standings in order to make playoffs, Curse, also had a great week, and so we will unfortunately be going to relegations in the beginning of September. It still feels pretty awful knowing that we have zero chance at making Worlds, because we performed so well that final week, but such are the consequences of having a poor season (excluding the last few weeks). On a more positive note, I feel quite proud about my individual performance in the latter half of this split (except for that one game vs C9 where I got dumpstered), and it feels great knowing that the time I invested spamming solo queue and watching replays has been fruitful. A slight problem right now is that Helios is in Korea right now getting his visa until the 22nd, and so we havent been getting team practice in. Theres still about 2 weeks in which we can prepare for relegations once he returns to America, but it still sucks that were just letting a few weeks go by while the amateur teams continue to practice and improve. Scrimming with a substitute jungler is an option, but I think it would be unproductive because Helios makes a lot of the calls. It would be frustrating and difficult to have to adapt to a new player that we wouldnt be fielding at relegations/LCS. So with the lack of scrims, everyone has just been practicing individually. Solo queue is mostly really terrible and can mold bad habits, but is still crucial to improving individual play. I wish that I could somehow get lower ping to the Korean servers; Helios tells me that KR solo queue is a lot more serious and is much more effective practice than NA solo queue, because the players take it seriously and play as a team. Unfortunately, with 160~180 ping to the KR servers from California, its pretty impossible to practice effectively when all 9 other players have 7 ping. With that, Ive run out of things to say.
