Hello everyone! I got home from the ER last night and fell asleep promptly after eating dinner. I had gone to the ER at the advice of my insurances Nurse Advice Line. About 8 days ago my feet, ankles, calves and lower thighs had began to swell. The University of Arizona Medical Center South Campus Emergency Room staff were quite efficient and thorough. The doctors were concerned I may have DVT (Deep Venous Thrombosis). However, the ultrasound of my legs was normal. It did not reveal any blood clots. The doctors also ruled out Congestive Heart Failure. The doctor was unable to determine the reason for my symptoms until the test results come back. I was treated for a bacterial infection with some very strong antibiotics and then sent home. I have a follow up visit on November 18th with my PCP. This morning the swelling has gone down quite a bit. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. :) I will keep you posted as I find out more.
