Hello everyone. My name is Bill Pinson, I received my Gift of Life, a lifesaving Liver Transplant on May 1,2011 at The Cleveland Clinic. I am pretty active in the Transplant Communities, work with my local Organ Procurement Agency here in West Virginia to volunteer and I try to help others as much as possible. I really wish I had something like this Group or others when I was waiting, I really was not active on Facebook at the time. I was fortunate to find a person from a site Transplant Buddies, his name was Bob Delgado and he helped me so much. He listened, offered advice, helped us research after being turned down 3 times for making the list due to being high risk and he prayed for me and with me. He was like a Guardian Angel to me that always seemed to know what to say, when to call and what to do. I decided if I made it through Transplant I was going to try to live up to what Bob did for me and countless others and try to give back. Recently I started a page for people with Liver Disease that focuses on Hepatic Encephalopathy and the effects of this somewhat unknown and silent part of Liver Disease that is so difficult to deal with. I was not warned about it and I know that many others found out like my wife Amy and I did, we found out by it hitting me hard. We are a closed Group for privacy so that people can feel safe talking about whatever is on their mind without it showing up on their wall for others to see. Feel free to join and check us out. We have Post Transplant patients, People waiting on Transplants, People in the early stages of Liver Disease, Caregivers and we are all there to help bring awareness and Support to help others. Thank You TRexx Maus and The Transplant Community Outreach family for letting me share this message. Bless you all!!
