Hello friends and supporters, Last week we admitted two Welsh - TopicsExpress

Hello friends and supporters, Last week we admitted two Welsh section A stallions named Scooby and Snoopy. They are both adorable little fellows who we could not turn our back on after their owner called us for help as a last attempt to secure their future. Sadly their owner is suffering from severe health problems and has not been able to give their large herd of ponies the care that they now desperately need. Many of the 40+ ponies are now in URGENT need of rescue space because they are in stables that their owner cant physically clean out and they are being forced to live in less than ideal conditions. Although the owner has been trying desperately to re-home the ponies since September last year and has contacted the relevant welfare organisations to ask for help, no solution has been found and the only option that is seeming likely is euthanasia for many of the animals. We refuse to give up on these ponies though and have began networking to try to secure rescue space throughout the UK for as many of these beautiful ponies as possible. However logistically this is turning into a nightmare due to lack of professional transport available. We have secured a space for 6 stallions at Hillside Animal Sanctuary in Norfolk and a space for 2 mares at Whispering Horses Equine Rescue in Scotland, but the cost of these two journeys alone is in excess of £600. We now URGENTLY need help with transport for these ponies to a safe haven, we need offers of good rescue space at other Sanctuaries, and we need funds to get Snoopy and Scooby the Vet care that they desperately need. Both boys are booked in for castration next week and Snoopy has badly de-formed hooves which require X-Raying and specialist remedial trimming..he has had this special care in the past but unfortunately his owner could not manage this properly In the more recent months. Many of the ponies were originally rescued in-foal and then also bred with one another and so congenital defects in this group mean many have poor conformation, Scooby has an undershot Jaw meaning he cant eat so well and requires special feeding..to us that makes him even more lovable :) We are happy to have been in the position to help Scooby and Snoopy but cant just walk away from the rest of the ponies. PLEASE if you can help in any way by donating, helping with transport or have a well run horse rescue centre and have room for a couple of little ones , email [email protected] or call 01132614344 Visit the ponies Just Giving Page: https://justgiving/sophie-kendrick5/ Thanks
