Hello from Dover Foxcroft :-) My bird area was busy this morning!!! I put together (first time to make) a bunt ring of crisco/peanut butter, cornmeal/ cheerios/ shelled unsalted peanuts/bird seed and froze it over night, It didnt freeze as hard as I needed it to, have not idea why as cold as it was, so I flipped it over and put it on a piece of small plywood and tapped the back of the pan and out it came! Let me tell you it is like a busy drive in food center :-) Dove s, Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Blue Jays, Juncos, Sparrows ect all lined up waiting their turn, didnt cost that much to make and it keeps the larger birds away from the feeders alot. Maybe will do this again! I believe this little bird I am posting to be a Chirping Sparrow ??? One of the many visitors that came.
