Hello my Facebook Friends! I serve on the board of Jewish Vocational Service whose mission is to engage, encourage and empower people to achieve social, cultural and economic integration. JVS has been serving the Kansas City community since 1949, and in 2012 JVS served over 7,000 individuals through its programs to help people gain skills and find work. This work is very important to me for many reasons but more than anything its the right thing to do! We are very excited about Global Table, our upcoming fundraiser that will be held on June 30th at the Culinary Center of Kansas City in downtown Overland Park. The event will feature international food and drink, a hands-on cooking experience, live entertainment and a silent auction. It would mean a lot to me if you would support JVS by purchasing two tickets for a total contribution of $200. [OR $100 FOR THOSE UNDER 35]. It is important to me and it is important to refugees trying to build a new life in Kansas City, people with disabilities who need support in finding working, and countless others that benefit from JVS’ programs.
