Hello my friends. As you know, Ive been very active in Andrea Sloans fight for a PARP inhibitor, that Biomarin refused to provide, because they refused to implement a Compassionate Use Policy. A White Knight Company stepped in and Andi now has another chance at living a long and blessed Rock Star Life- as she always says.. Andi is one of those people who you cross paths with in life, and they profoundly change your path..they positively and profoundly change you as a person, change your heart, just in knowing them. Ive been very honored to witness my friends journey and her triumph as a human being, as well as to experience the absolutely pure love and light she offers the world, even in her darkest hour. In that vein, she has asked us to continue the fight, as she proclaimed it to be at inception, for Compassionate Use Reform. She has asked us to help another person, much like Andi, Nick Auden. Nick lives in Denver. He is a father, a husband, a son, a friend and he needs a white knight too. Not for any reason, other than he deserves the same opportunity for hope, as was given Andi, not too long ago. I made commitment to this cause and I fully intend to fulfill that commitment. Im still in Andis Army and anyone who knows me, knows when I commit, it will take the jaws of life to get me out of it. The thing is, this has become something very meaningful to me, something that I believe in and I will continue to fight for, because I want to. I believe its the right thing to do, as simple as that. Its not just because I have lost several loved ones to cancer, or that I have several friends, my age, fighting cancer of various kinds right now, who are parents, children, friends, spouses....but because its the RIGHT thing to do.
