Hello my friends. Well its unfortunately been a while since I was last in. As what seems like Per Usual I have again managed to contract Pneumonia, and it feels like somebody is constantly stabbing me between my shoulder blades. This just adds to my problems that I have coping with the constant pain which does at times get me down and feeling depressed. I am also having major problems with my C.O.P.D, and obviously the Pneumonia doesnt help it just makes it worse. BUT hey ho they say that What doesnt breaks you...Makes you so one way or another I will fight and I am sure I will make it. I dont like telling you about myself cos to me it sounds selfish especially when members are going through trials and tribulations of their own. The run up to Christmas seems to be here very early this year....(or is it just me slowing down lol?) and I ken that especially some members including Admin struggle at this time of year as they remember those friends and relatives, that have sadly been lost to them. We can only pray that they can find some semblance of Peace, and that they remember their loved ones with pride and love. Although its a long time ago now I can remember the sheer devastation when I lost my first husband on Christmas Eve Morning of 95 My youngest son then was Ben, and he was only 8 weeks old, but because of all the upset with his 2 older brothers he became very fractious & unsettled and would cry for what seemed like hours at a time. I think he was just picking up on the tension in the house and also the tears of both Jonathan & Nicholas. It took a good few years before we could celebrate Christmas without it being upsetting for the boys and it was really thanks to Mike that changed all that. Although we tried to move, on it was Mike that would sit down with the boys and explained that it was alright to cry, but that it was best for them to remember the happy times with their Father. We never made them to stop speaking about him, and if anything we made sure that they were secure in the knowledge that we loved them and how important to us they all were, and that although Mike became their Dad it was ok to remember Peter if and when they wanted. It seems to be pretty common now a days to try and stop people from remembering those that have been lost to us especially at this time of year. Personally, and it is just a personal thing I have a different approach to death and to people that I have lost. Its actually good to remember the good memories, why try to hide them away because of the time of year? Yes!! People do seem to struggle more when its near a date that is an annual event, maybe it is harder, but dont get too upset aa then you might to feel a wee bitty depressed and I dont want that for any of you. (Rita, Jenn, & Marlene specially yous, as you are doing a great job being Admin to the group). Believe it or not running a group at this time of year is always the hardest and so many private messages bounce to and fro with frenzy. My love goes out to all of you, and I pray and hope that the run up to Christmas will be a joyous and remembered occasion for all the right reasons, the buying of presents for friends and family and the look in the eyes of your children, as the decorations go up. All my love and prayers....TINKS xxx :) Winter now has settled in And Christmas will soon be here The buying of the Presents For your loved ones so dear. Try to remember the reason That we celebrate the season. For that Boy Child born in a Manger Surrounded by love but also strangers. Dont write Merry Xmas In the cards you do send out. Why miss Christ out of Christmas Dont feel any doubt. Dont let tears of sadness Stream down your face Remember your lost ones with a smile It will be your saving Grace. So I pray you all will be happy At this busy time of year. And let the joyful occasion Steal away any dread and fear.. Copyright© S.E.Ellis-Fleming.3/12/2014.
