Hello there, I am a PhD student at Birkbeck College, University of London. I am writing you as I am currently conducting a research project which directly deals with Italian immigrants in the UK. The purpose is to understand the complex interplay and reciprocal influence between emotion expression in a second language, acculturation and personality dimensions. Actually, I am collecting data through a simple questionnaire and I was wondering whether there is any Italian immigrant in your network that would like to participate. Few basic requirements are: -Advanced English - Italian MT -At least 2 years of residence in the UK (immigrants must be still resident here) -BA/BS degree (or equivalent) is desirable but not compulsory -Participants can also have a second citizenship or have lived somewhere else before moving in the UK. The questionnaire will take no more then 15 minutes of time and deals with daily life, personal characteristics and emotion expression both in Italian and English.
