Hello to everyone. Im sorry Ive been off the Facebook page a few weeks, but weve been rambling around a bit, sliding sideways on ice through Idaho, sailing over Donner Pass into sunny CA. Its sunny, all right. Its other things as well. Its the only state in the union where arbitrarily there is a chance you might get body-bagged by an earthquake, a drive-by, a flash flood, a wildfire, a kamikaze driver on 101, a mudslide, San Joaquin fever, or the San Andreas Fault dropping half the state in the Pacific Ocean. Do any of you remember the CA legislator who suggested an imaginative way to pay off some of the states debts? People laughed at him, but I thought his idea was brilliant. He believed the states greatest untapped resource were the celebrity psychopaths in California prisons. People like Charlie Manson and Juan Corona and Sirhan-Sirhan could be wired up with headsets and given 900 numbers, and anyone could call them up at any time of night and day and chat for $1.95 a minute. Having trouble with your neighbors? Call up Chuck or the Hillside Strangler or Richard Ramirez. The possibilities are endless. I didnt make this up. Thanks for all your fine messages.
