Help Notre Dame continue our mission of changing the world, one human rights lawyer at a time. Dear Graduate of the Center for Civil & Human Rights, On behalf of the Center, I send greetings from Notre Dame, where we are busy celebrating our 40th Anniversary (1973-2013) and marking our recent transformation into a multi-disciplinary University-wide human rights center. Our LLM and JSD programs – now in their 27th year – have educated over 300 human rights lawyers from more than 85 countries around the world. No other university invests so heavily in professional education for human rights lawyers. This year alone, this investment supports the studies of 24 lawyers from 19 countries who are enrolled in our academic programs. As esteemed graduates of our degree programs, you know the transformative experience that your time at Notre Dame has had in your lives and careers. That is why we seek your help to identify and recommend the next, select group of human rights lawyers from around the world that will come together and form community at Notre Dame. We ask that you forward the “digital brochure” found below to your network of colleagues, students and friends. The digital brochure is like a virtual admissions session that will inform potential candidates about our curriculum and the generous scholarship and internship support available for our students. The brochure will guide the candidate through the application process, which is now fully online. If you or someone you know has questions that are not answered in the brochure, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected]. I would be happy to speak with them. Please know that any candidate that you recommend for our programs will be given the highest consideration for admission. Our reputation as a Center is the direct result of the reputation of our alumni; your commitment to human rights and your leadership as lawyers continues to attract the best and brightest students to Notre Dame each year. Please help the Center continue our mission of changing the world, one human rights lawyer at a time. Thank you and best wishes, Sean O’Brien LL.M.
