Helped Jason finish the flooring for the Lawsons residence. Ready for my broker to appraise it so we can get them to there next phase of demo and the new kitchen and laundry room. Have to design a tech center for the office,,, but so far we have gotten them back in track from where their last contractor left them. Lost a bid to an inferior product. My bid was 15.5k and only missed by a $1000 gap. Products were not apples for Apples either, but my main concern is that its a home for Canadian clients. I ALWAYS land Canadian clients. I cater to them exclusively. This is their winter home and they will be leaving their keys with the contractor. Hate not being able to have a last chance to just knock a grand off just to make sure someone is spoken care of. No time to cry about it though when my $47k bid is falling fast. Already sharpened our pencils and chopped out 7000$. Want to still give the client everything he is asking for, but if we need to come down any further we have to either start scratching things off our list, or lower the grade of products we are bringing in. Really dont want to go that route for.the basis of putting our name behind it. Fortunately its a flip investment, and if we can still make a dime and it gets a return call for his next flip.... Well then the world can spin on and theres 5 weeks of keeping every man on the crew busy. Giving us time to get out there and pick up the job. Love days like this.
