Here I am, alive and kicking at the end of another busy week. Last month I wondered whether Id be able to spend all the two days at the leadership forum this week. I wondered whether Id survive attacks of APSA Unisa and whether the researchers who are upset about my scathing views on the scholarly standing of the Mediterranean Journal of Social Science (MJSS) would allow me to walk freely. But here I am and I have not changed my views on how sole commitment on compliance at the expense of everything else can stifle innovation; I have not changed my views on the MJSS and I spent the most energizing and instructive last two days at the Leadership Forum. I even have selfies to show. It started lousy with an insulting email from APSA then got my spirit lifted at the launch of the Thusanani Foundation but it ends on a high note with the amazing group I interacted with the past two days and a sensible meeting of DVCs at UP today. No time for Mickey Mouse! If this is not being blessed, then I dont know what is!
