Here I come again! Whats in question today? Sage green. This is a tough one probably because this color doesn’t exactly excite many people. Sage green is so beautiful that it has been played out in recent years. Sage green is a color that lends itself well to antiques, especially the deliberately washed out furniture. Because of its low tone, it work well with touches of almost every color, but when added to clean white or the cool silver kitchenware, the room can get way too contemporary looking; meanwhile, if you want to add a dark accent, I would suggest a hunter green (relatively darker) or a darker blue-green. A little red-orange wooden floor or curtains will go a long way, adding some good variety as well. I think these rooms do a good job at making the sage walls look classic, not trendy. Actually, there is a very fine line between tasteful and retched when it comes to green paint colors. To avoid this dilemma, remember not to use too much saturated green in the same space. For some reason, I think this color is both cheerful and calming, since its gender neutral. Instead of going all out with a saturated green, maybe using a light cream with a great mix of greens will help to get the the whole color scheme you want without losing any warmth and coziness.
