Here are 11 things you may not know about me. If you like my status I will give you a number so you can tell us all that many things about yourself. Id be interested to know how much of this list is actually news to any of you... 1. Because of my amazing Daddy, I am fluent at driving dump trucks, operating bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators. I held a Commercial Drivers License for approximately 15 years. 2. When I graduated high school, the one thing I KNEW that I didnt want to do is be a nurse! As of today, Ive been a nurse for 14 years. And I wouldnt change a thing! 3. When I got pregnant, I wanted a son really bad. And then I had Stacy Marie Rahn, and she was the sweetest thing in the whole world. From then on, I only wanted girls. 4. My girls and I used to sing as a group and made 2 CDs. In 2006, we sang at 42 different events. They were ages 14, 12 and 8. 5. Im presently in school to get my Doctorate of Education with a specialization in E-Learning so I can lay on a beach somewhere and do my job. I could lay on a different beach every week, and no one would know unless I told them. :-) 6. I was misdiagnosed for years with depression. In fact, it was anxiety that was my issue. Things make so much more sense now. Its so much easier to practice mind over matter, when you truly understand what the matter is that you are dealing with. 7. I am OCD when it comes to grammar, punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure. It serves me well in my doctoral studies, but in grading papers and reading Facebook statuses, it can be crazy-making!!! Thank you Mrs. J., for ALL that you taught me in GT English my junior and senior years at ECHS!!! I think of you often because of all you taught me. 8. I am a terrible procrastinator, but hardly ever, if ever, miss a deadline. (Yes, Im one of those people who think I do my best work under pressure...but dont tell my students that...we educators tend to discourage that method as a general rule. 9. ALL of my family, except my daughters, still live in GA. They dont understand how I can be so happy away from friends and family that I grew up with for the first 37 years of my life. Nevertheless, they are happy for me because I am SO happy. 10. Ive always promised my daughters that I would take them anywhere they wanted to go as a graduation present when they graduated high school. Stacy Marie Rahn, Mia Branch Thompson and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas for her trip. Keri Sue Aubrey, Ali Archinal and I went to Hawaii for her trip. And next June, Ashley Anne Aubrey and I will be going to Ireland for her trip. 11. I love every aspect of my life! I TRULY believe in the power of positive thinking in all situations. And I believe God really does give us the desires of our hearts. :-)
