Special Guests, Mayor Ted Clugston and Family, and of course, Santa!! The Vincent Massey School Choir will be performing at the opening ceremony. Tree lighting in the park. · Servus Credit Union Family Hay Ride – Free hayrides 6pm-8pm on 2nd Street. · Gift Wrapping Station – 6:30pm – 11pm inside Gaslight Plaza. All proceeds to the Medicine Hat Youth Action Society. Sponsored by River Dental. Thank-you to the building owners at Gaslight Plaza for allowing the Youth Action Society to use vacant space inside the building for their gift wrapping station! · The Monarch Theatre – Free movie “Elf” showing at 6:30pm. Medicine Hat High School will perform a short selection of their play, “Anne & Gilbert” in the theatre at 8:30pm. The Monarch concession and washrooms will be open to the public from 6pm-10pm. · Musical Performances – Inside Gaslight Plaza……..6:30pm Webster Niblock School Choir, 7:00pm Medicine Hat College Junior Orchestra. · “Santa’s Helpers” from Medicine Hat High School, McCoy High School, and St. Mary’s School will be greeting Downtown shoppers in the streets and handing out the Midnight Madness sales maps. · Midnight Madness Prize Package Draw – All shoppers who a make a Downtown purchase during Midnight Madness (Nov. 28th, 6pm-Midnight ONLY), can enter to win one of three prize packages full of gift cards from many Downtown businesses. Shoppers must fill out an entry form and attach a receipt (or copy)from a Downtown purchase made during Midnight Madness, and drop it off at one of the draw box locations by 12noon on Monday, December 2nd.
