Here are a few of my favorite up & coming bands I stumbled on to or they stumbled on to me in the past year or so (in no particular order) Black Tora - Ive actually been a fan of Razor Dave and the guys going on 5 years now, but this year these Texans released a new album of straight up in your face rock n roll that should not be missed. Voodoocain - Mr. Music Mick Griffin introduced me to this 5 piece from Melbourne and they are another band in a long line of bands that make me think Melbourne has one of the best rock scenes in the world...I should move there. LAVALLE - Ive just about decided that any project Paul Logue is involved in I am going to end up loving and this international 4 piece is no exception, kick ass melodic rock from beginning to end Dear Sanity was one album constantly on repeat this past year. Do yourself a favor and go pick it up. Grayson Manor - Im going to let you know a little more about these guys later on when I talk about my Top 10 albums of the year, but just take my advice and go pick up their EP Return To The Manor. Chris Laneys Legion - Its Chris Laney and a lineup of kick ass musicians. Is there really anything else that needs to be said? CHAINFIST - 5 Danish guys that listened to a lot of Metallica and Anthrax and it paid off. Scarred kicks 9 kinds of ass and Black Rebel Noise is the best of the bunch as far as I am concerned. MACH22 - Sweet Talk Intervention was another album that I was constantly listening too this past year. I missed them live when they were in Dallas, but I wont make that mistake again. and last but definitely least... Black Aces (Official) - Now for full disclosure drummer Pete McMillan was/is a writer for Hard Rock Nights, but I was a fan of the band long before Pete came onboard.
