Here are a few things I use to help my dog stay comfortable when she is left home alone. She gets one Kong with wet food smeared inside, the pink notebook is what my dog walker uses to tell me how her walk went, the other Kong is stuffed with peanut butter to be put down after my dog walker leaves, and the red kong treat dispenser is put down when I leave and it has high value treats in it (today was pork). Sometimes I use a treat puzzle as well depending on how long I am gone. There is also always a movie or meditation music on. My dog seems way less stressed when I leave now when before she would whine at the door, pace, and check the windows to try to find me. Success :)
