Here are a few tips to help us not become the crab in the barrel, keeping others down and subsequently eating at the fiber of our collective growth: 1. Learn to openly share resources (trade secrets are totally different). 2. Live in a culture of forgiveness so others don’t pay the price for another who did you wrong. 3. Begin to show your children how to work together early. 4. Teach children how to manage money by creating mock mini-societies. 5. Establish programs in your own community to foster collective work (community gardens, farm markets etc) 6. Create databases of resources that you can tap into to help yourself AND others in need. 7. Understand that it may be THEIR time to shine but YOU WILL GET YOURS when the timing is right. 8. Learn to be happy for others in spite of your circumstance to create good karma (or good reaping and sewing). Remember, it is our own mind that is our own worst enemy. WE hold ourselves back often when we think we are trying to help ourselves and others. To grow we must let go of fears and foster our own success. With a helping hand to and from others, that success can manifest sooner and in much greater capacity.
