Here are few shots from my ride with Nicola Dal Santo, Alessio Girelli, and few others (Skys Elia Viviani jumped in too). I got dropped a couple times simply because I was taking pictures of course...yeah, right. I had great time riding--sucking wheels would be a more accurate term--with these real champs around Garda Lake. The ride ended up being 101miles, not quite what I had envisioned for my first training camp-2h spin. My front wheel exploded (literally) with 40k to go, but I managed to make it home. What a great day! I missed these roads, the colors of my native land...my playground as a cyclist. Although things have changed--ie the exponentially increased number or roundabouts--one thing has not changed much: Il Gire va sempre come un treno and the amateurs are just PROs in disguise. Love it!
