Here are some Throwback Thursday pictures from 35 years ago and some from a bit later. All are at least 30 years old. (Please note that this does not make anyone who was on these teams or in my class back in those days OLD - This is very important to recognize!! I am still young and that makes you even younger!!) When I was in my 1st year at Woodbridge Senior High School as a Health & PE Teacher and an Assistant Freshman Football Coach, JV Wrestling coach and Assistant Varsity Girls Soccer team. In my first year at WSHS, the only coaching supplement that I received was for JV Wrestling and that was only a few hundred dollars. I was just a volunteer in the other sports but I know that if I could do it all over again, I would do it just the same. I would not trade those years in for anything. In my second year at WSHS, I was asked by the principal to coach Freshman Volleyball, so I took one year off from coaching Football. This worked out pretty well for me because I met my wife at one of the games when she came to see her niece play. Over the years, I spent a lot of hours coaching at practices and games and tournaments as well as scouting opponents and watching other sports at home and away events. I was doing stuff that I loved and working with some great students and athletes who gave me their best and made me very proud. I also worked with some fantastic teachers, coaches, administrators and other staff and a ton of amazing parents. Those were some pretty good years!! I am only posting few of the gazillion pictures that I could put on here but they are all special!!
