Here are some easy, creative ways to stay active: 1. Build it into your schedule. Set a timer on your computer or phone as a reminder to walk for a few minutes. 2. Look for opportunities to walk. Walk over to a co-worker’s desk instead of emailing or calling. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park farther from the entrance. 3. Eat and run (or walk). Set aside the first or last 15 minutes of your lunch hour for a brisk walk. 4. Move during commercials. Use those several minutes to march in place, go up and down the stairs a few times, or dance to a favorite song. As you strive to walk 30 minutes a day, five days a week, take it a step farther — spend less time behind your desk or on the couch and enjoy a healthier life.
