Here are some photos of our guest speaker, Kari Freidig and her two Desert Tortoise Wildlife Ambassadors, Ricardo and Rosie from last weeks meeting! Ricardo is estimated to be about 50 years old and Rosie is quite a bit younger at 30 years old. Their lifespan allows many Desert Tortoises to live beyond 100 years. These gentle creatures are listed as Vulnerable which is only one step away from Endangered. Photos by Don Metzner
