Joshua: We focus a lot on the sustainability of our ingredients. We source ingredients from 52 different countries. It takes about a million acres of land to grow our ingredients. We focus on the sustainability of our packaging—everything is in brown glass or HTP number 256 to stop the light from interrupting the medicinal value of the ingredients in our products. We created the world’s first plantable packaging with our pressed fiber soap boxes. We really spend a lot of time educating the consumer about the farms that grow our ingredients. One of the things I learned while I was in Asia is that women grow 87% of our food but still—and in 2013 this is a mind blowing statistic—only own less than 1% of the land.
