Here are some things I learned from my morning with Ken Bailey: 1. The number one thing he thinks we all need to be effective is to know that God loves us! Period! 2. He believes that there are millions of Muslims now coming to Jesus as the Messiah around the Muslim world through dreams, visions and miracles. 3. Hes happy to refer to Jesus as Isa and to say that Allah is God. 4. Hes against Zionism. He thinks that fear and Christian Zionism are the two things that have ruined the churchs witness for Jesus in the Middle East. 5. He believes that the metaphor of Jesus as THE good shepherd is a vastly unused key in describing who Jesus is. (Thus, his new book). When I told him that he inspired our next Simply Jesus gathering in April he had tears in his eyes. I pray I am half as wise and half as humble and gracious as he is when Im 84.
