Here are the links to the 3rd Common Core hearing. Regret the delay in getting these uploaded and apologize for any inconvenience. Part 1 - youtu.be/G3em198KOS0 The Joint Legislative Research Committee (LRC) on Common Core held its third of four hearings on the subject on March 20th, 2014. This hearing was devoted primarily to hearing comments from the public on the issue. Committee Co-Chair Sen. Dan Soucek and Rep. Bryan Holloway opened the meeting by explaining where they were in the process and how this hearing was essential to their efforts. They then introduced Bob Luebke, a Senior Policy Analyst with Civitas, and Gary Salamido, VP of Government Affairs for the NC Chamber of Commerce who were both given 5 minutes each to present their views, against and for respectively. The entire session is presented in these 11 unedited clips, and it includes those citizens who signed up in advance online to speak as well as a few who signed up at the hearing. While there were 60 speakers on the list provided by the LRC staff, only 58 citizens actually spoke before the committee. There were two names on the list that did not appear that day.
