Here are two pictures of Bob Brown from the 1967 Tigerite. Recently, somebody posted a picture of him ready to head for Hawaii for the winter. COACH, TAKE ME WITH YOU!!! Heres a story almost nobody here will know or remember. In the spring of 66-67 (or maybe the next year), we were inundated with a plethora of squirt guns. We would confiscate them, put them on the floor and give em the old stress test by stomping on them. Oops, sorry, your gun failed the stress test. I had a study hall on the south end 3rd floor of SHS. And naturally I had a number of squirt guns in my desk drawer. So I decided to load them up and attack Bob Brown whose classroom adjoined mine. Dashing through the adjoining door while he was lecturing, I let him have it. He, of course, grabbed the guns from his desk and the battle was on. So here we were, two teachers armed with squirt guns, chasing each other through the two rooms. The kids in both rooms were falling on the floor laughing. That is until Jim McKimmy showed up. If you remember Jim, youll recall that he did not have a terrific sense of humor. I remember getting a reprimand from him for behavior unbecoming a teacher. Its amazing what you remember from almost 50 years ago. LOL
