Here is a Nasty Ulcer i just saw beneath a geldings tongue from the canine tooth that had been piercing into it... and he had an identical one on the left side ! The second After photo shows the shortened, rounded, smooth canine just moments later once Id appropriately reduced it, as part of our routine Winter Dentistry Promotion. Canine teeth erupt in a horses 4th year, and are fully erupted by their 7th year, after which no further corrections will be necessary.
