Here is a Sunday morning Top 5 for your consideration. What was your fave comic o the week? Let us know in the comments below! -Dean East of West #15 - So the end of year one of the apocalypse has certainly ended up on a rather mind blowing note. So the three horseman have decided to do away with the Beast aka the son of Death and Xiaolin. Turns out the Beast is ready to strike out on his own. Its all out war going into year two of the apocalypse. This book has been so consistently awesome. If you havent given it a try, then you dont like nice things apparently. Magneto #9 - If this is just the March to AXIS then the event itself is gonna be pretty explosive. Magneto heads back to Genosha and reflects on his past. I think when you mine the story of Magnetos past in the concentration camps, you really cut to the tragedy of the character and understand his rage. He returns to Genosha to right a wrong and his desire to make amends with the actions of his past and ends up in way over his head. Wilds End #1 - I first experienced the creative team of Abnett and Culbard on the New Deadwardians which somehow combined zombies and vampires, threw it in a blender and made a wonderfully original tale. Well this time round its a small village of anamorphic animals. The story is super quaint and super British, but there is a bit of an not so friendly alien invasion happening which makes the whole story a whole lot stranger. Constantine:Futures End #1- I have been dabbling with this series again, partially because of the TV series starting this fall. There has been a lot of crossovers in this series, which I didnt really follow so this rather stand alone tale of Constantine vs Dr. Fate was a pleasant surprise. I am on board to see where the series goes form here Annihilator #1 - Grant Morrison makes some more magic. The word trippy has been used alot in describing this book and its a very apt description. A writer is trying to write a manuscript about a haunting in space. The story hes creating is more of a retelling of another reality. Frazer Irvings art is a perfect match for this tale.
