Here is a bit about your facilitators: Raquel Woods Raquel believes in radical self-expression as the path to living authentically with an open heart. Art, dance and voice have all served her on her personal journey, taking her deeper into the wisdom of her own body. Through sharing her experiences with others, Raquel guides participants to live a self-fulfilling life with love. Raquel assists participants to acknowledge themselves as unique beings, access their own gifts and self-heal. Through this process, they are able to have a deeper relationship with themselves and the world around them. Raquel shows empathy and compassion as a facilitator to provide a safe and supportive space. She believes creativity, play and a sense of community encourages participants to show up in their full presence as the beautiful and courageous beings they are. Lydia Hikari Marolda Inspired by her experiences on dance floors around the globe Lydia has devoted the past 15 years of her life to exploring what it means to use dance and shamanic ritual for healing and empowering the Self on all levels. She believes that in facilitating her own evolution and that of others she is assisting with the global shift that is happening at this time. With years of experience in different dance modalities, shamanic practices, yoga, psycho-somatic practices, ritual, sound and breath work, her mission is to use the tools she has gained throughout her life to empower and remind others to embrace their body’s movements and natural intelligence as a means of experiencing life to its fullest. Lydia is a certified Dancing Freedom facilitator who has taught classes and workshops across the USA, Costa Rica and Australia. She has a Masters Degree in Education and Expressive Therapies from Leslie University in the USA. She is also one of the core members of the Dancing Freedom International Teacher Training team who recently returned from Bail, training 30 new Dancing Freedom facilitators from around the world.
