Here is a quick update on a few Girls Team Sports opportunities Downtown: Softball: Downtown Little League Teams will be competing in a Brooklyn Fall League. Games are either Saturday or Sunday. No practice. Age groups are 10U and 12U. We are currently exploring 16U too. Please contact your Spring Season coach for more information. Manhattan Mayhem Tournament Team will be playing several tournament softball games over the fall. If your daughter has an interest in trying-out for the tournament team, please contact Renae Baeuchman renaebeauchman@gmail Basketball: Asphalt Green Girls Travel Basketball will be holding tryouts for a girls basketball tournament team. They are looking for 12U and 13U girls. Tryouts are Friday Sept 13 and Sunday Sept 15. Basketball Stars of New York has a girls travel team and a clinic. Practices and the clinic takes place on Saturdays at the Leman School gym in the Financial District. Volleyball: Asphalt Green has started a girl volleyball program with a look to forming team for travel volleyball. Check out the Asphalt Green Website for Fall Programs.
