Here is a short reportage that recently aired on the Russian TV of my visit to the remote Arctic settlement of Chersky last month. It all started with Martins attracting a lot of attention by winning silver at the first World MAS Wrestling Championship in Yakutsk. It didnt take long for media to find out that I used to live on the lower Kolyma. The short intro to the video summarizes it: Why did the woman go to Chersky? Turns out to remember her school years. (the video is in Russian) Ever since I arrived in Chersky I was followed around by a cameraman. So, you get brief sightings of the building I lived in, of my gathering with my classmates who still live in this remote place, and of my meeting with schoolchildren. P.S. I am sure that fur looked better on its rightful owner (the poor red fox) than on me...
