Here is a truly beautiful read. The remarkable Geoffrey Holder passed away last week. His son writes about his transition. Mr. Holder did many inspiring things. One he may be most known for is winning a Tony Award in 1975 for direction of a musical and costume design for “The Wiz. He also choreographed for Alvin Ailey and The Dance Theater of Harlem. He was an accomplished painter, photographer and sculptor. The list goes on and on. Truly a legend in his own right. You can find articles about his life and passing in the NYtimes, on IMDB, people magazine... But Im not sure why I havent seen anything up on the Playbill website yet ... Please take a moment read up on this man. He made a real difference in the art and performance world!!! #dimthelights
