Here is an email that Rob Hallsworth is trying to circulate to everyone. Today marks the end of ExxonMobils 44 years in Belleville. The lights are not actually off, but the computers are down, the equipment is disassembled, the sign is gone and Robin, Lorna, Steve, John and I have left the building. Allow me to quickly recap what has happened since March of 2013. We ran down inventories through the end of May and then focused on dismantling the coater, atlas slitters and L409 for Jindal. In parallel we worked a deal to sell the building to a Toronto company (Bayshore Group). The deal with Jindal finally closed at the end of September and the real estate deal closed November 20th. We leased back space from Bayshore through the end of January to meet our obligations with Jindal and close the financial and statutory requirements. As of today the building purchaser has removed over 100,000 lbs of copper, sold misc pieces of equipment, arranged to lease space to P&G and is working on deal to lease the balance of the building. They should have the place completed emptied of equipment and full as a warehouse by May. Jindal has removed all equipment going to LaGrange, and 20 sea containers to India. They have 27 more containers to go to India, 7 to Europe and all the Shawnee equipment still to ship. I can only say that working with Jindal has been a nightmare. We are all better off being closed by ExxonMobil then working for Jindal! For me, I start a new job as Vice President of Operations for Newterra Ltd. in Brockville on February 1. This is a small company (200 people) that manufactures equipment for water purification, soil remediation and sewage treatment used by resource companies in remote locations, and developers for small stand alone projects. ExxonMobil is an existing customer. Not sure if we will relocate to Brockville. Initially I will rent an apartment and return to Belleville midweek and on the weekends. I am happy to have had the opportunity over the last 22 years to have worked with you, but after the last 15 months I am definitely ready for a change. Rob Hallsworth
