Here is an update on plans for the Congress and related activities. Please mark these dates in your 2015 calendars starting with April 2nd Salukis on at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, April 3rd Lure Coursing (weather permitting), April 4th and 5th The Sighthound Association Shows,April 4th Saluki Club Show, April 6th The Hound Club of NSW and April 6th evening Opening Ceremony, Cocktail Party and Auction for the Saluki World Congress 2015 Sydney, April 7th and 8th Congress. The Royal Show is held at the Olympic Center at Homebush, Lure Coursing at The Bill Spilstead Center for Canine Affairs in Orchard Hills, the Sighthound Shows are at the Castle Hill Show Grounds in Castle Hill, the Hound Club Show is at Castle Hill Show Grounds, the Open Ceremony and Cocktail Party is at the Bill Spilstead Complex at Orchard Hills as is the following two days of the Congress. Full details of judges and Congress Program will be out within the next month. If you are bringing a dog from overseas this gives you 5 spectacular shows with big entries with Judges from around the world (there is one week quarantine in Sydney). The Congress Speakers and Judges will be accommodated at the Chifley Hotel in Penrith (chifleyhotels.au) which is adjacent to the well known Penrith Panthers Club (bestclubs.au/nsw/penrith-panthers-leagues/default.aspx) We will be offering transportation from the Chifley to the Sighthound Club, Hound Club and to the Congress venue for a small fee. For information regarding other accommodation please contact me. We are looking forward to a fun filled week of Salukis, parties and sun. Bookings for the Congress will start in June 2014 and I will be bringing booking forms to the Saluki Club of America Natiional or it can be requested on this site. Bookings can be paid by Paypal.
