Here is my 2 cents usd! The St. Catharines I grew up in. I lived there for 29 years of my life. I learned about family values. Say yes sir and no mame. Your dad made you look in the eye of a person at the mall and say Merry Christmas! If you stole something you are taking it back and asking for forgiveness (which I did at the United Cigar store at Fairview Mall). You Loved hockey. You loved going to the old theaters on St. Paul St. You bought a 15 cent cheesburger on Ont.at the first McDonalds. You respected peoples property. You learned about different cultures via the Folks arts! You loved the market in downtown. You bought a GM product. Some stayed and some moved away but most of us learned to be a better person from living in St. Catharines. Wayne Merry
