Here is my official CCHS statement: Kids are not born bad, kids dont always have the best guidance, they have more pressures today then ever before, kids mimic what they see in the media: ie: Bad Girls Club, Real World...etc..... Fighting in school is also nothing new, whats new is how quickly things can spread on social media. We can sit and condemn these kids or we can take the people in glass houses way of thinking, anyone who has not gotten in a fight when they were in high school is a pretty rare person. Lets not forget I have known most of my FB friends for 20 plus years and we all know when we were teens we all thought we were pretty bad ass. Yes it is a problem, yes something needs to be done, however dont sit and be angry, call kids trash and other foul things, these are kids! If we want changes we need to be the changes. Part of this is holding these girls accountable for their actions through restorative justice, it would be far more effective then punish them thinking. These girls should have to do a whole lot of volunteering, anger classes, school volunteering, something that will truly show them the effects of their bad choices. Condemnation will do nothing, if you are saddened by the youth of today, mentor.
