Here is one of our coaches, Cody Sandlin with a 25lb front squat PR. As part of our current programming cycle we have a couple of heavy single lifts during the week. Here Cody was supposed to go for a HS then back down and do some lighter volume work off of that heavy single. The goal here isnt to go for a PR unless your feel it, which he was. People ask me how to get comfortable lifting heavy and the truth is you dont. What happens is you build your basic strength, and apply that to your O-Lifts through testing heavy singles and doubles. The key is finding balance in testing those limits, while working strength and technique. when you find it you can see the type of gains that Cody and our other lifters are seeing.
