Here is part 2 of our discussion on the beast that is - TopicsExpress

Here is part 2 of our discussion on the beast that is crossfit. Last week we put up a video discussing how crossfit has disregarded the functional elements of the transverse abdominis, the EFFECTIVE application of any movement outside of the sagittal plane, and its negligence of how the autonomic nervous system functions during exercise. These are 3 basepoints of efficiency we at FP value before involving any stressful load on a human body. From what we saw on this page, not one crossfitter addressed the content discussed in the video (scroll down to last week and see the comments if you dont believe me). Instead we got people asking for people to just get along without addressing the facts. We get people saying that we are going to push people away because we are being negative. TO MAKE THIS CLEAR, WE DONT WANT TO APPEAL TO CROSSFITTERS WITH THESE VIDEOS. THAT IS THE POINT. WE ARE BIASED TOWARDS BEING HEALTHY, NOT BEING COMPETITIVE. THIS IS NOT A MOVEMENT THAT JUST SUPPORTS ALL KINDS OF MOVEMENT, THIS IS A MOVEMENT THAT PROMOTES THE REVEALING OF INSECURE DYSFUNCTIONAL BEHAVIORS. If you are an angry crossfitter, please dont drop the: I respect your ideology and everything you do, BUT this route your taking is not one I THINK YOU SHOULD BE TAKING. Taking this route puts a negative reputation for functional patterns and it could lead to you losing a lot of subscribers. For those crossfitters or olympic lifters thinking of responding with something, please read that quote because Im going to predict those are the only responses we will be getting on this platform. Anyway, this is for people on the fence trying to find out what is relevant in training from whats not. We at FP thank you for the increased support in the last few weeks. We are not the only ones who feel this way in reference to exercise systems that proliferate the status quo. This is why the growth and interest in FP has increased substantially in the last few weeks. At FP we strive for the ideals that will bring about health and we will continue to educate those seeking education about their body and how it relates to their environment.
