Here is the itinerary for our November educational tour for prospective tour leaders - 4 star hotels - flights half board all sightseeing included for just a basic cost of £395.00 plus taxes Day 1 Wednesday 26th November UK – Israel- Ashkelon Depart UK for Israel – the Holy Land. Arrive in the evening, where our local representatives, Diesenhaus – Unitours, will help you with the formalities at Ben Gurion Airport. After passing through customs you will be introduced to your guide and driver, who will be with you throughout your pilgrimage. Transfer to your hotel in Ashkelon. Day 2 Thursday 27th November Dead Sea Full day touring on route to the Dead Sea., via Beesheba. Visit the Bedouin market Visiting Masada – the Roman Fortress at the time of King Herod and onwards to Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were located. Time will be allowed for a ‘swim’ in the Dead Sea. Overnight at a Kibbutz Guest House in the region. Day 3 Friday 28th November Jericho - Jerusalem Visit to the Kasr el Yehud baptismal site on the Jordan River, located in proximity to where John the Baptist would have lived preached and baptized Jesus. Onwards, to Jericho, the lowest city on Earth. See the ‘Sycamore tree’ of Zacchaeus. Visit the excavations of the walled city and take the cable car to the Mt of Temptation. On the road to Jerusalem visit the biblical encampment of Genesis Land, situated in the heart of the Judean desert, in the land where the Patriarchs lived. A magical place, it enables visitors to experience life as it was in biblical times. Onwards to Jerusalem for overnight stay Day 4 Saturday 29th November Mt of Olives - Bethlehem Start the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb Full day touring commencing at the Mt of Olives, visit the Chapel of the Ascension, Church of Our Father – Pater Nostre, where Our Lord’s prayer is displayed in many languages and dialects. Walk the Palm Sunday route to Dominus Flevit – the Church where Jesus wept over Jerusalem and then onwards to the Garden of Gethsemane passing the Russian Orthodox Church of Mary Magdalene, with its golden domes. In the afternoon visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity and Shepherds Fields. Overnight Jerusalem. Day 5 Sunday 30th November Old City – Garden Tomb Full day walking tour – enter the walled city of Jerusalem at St Stephens Gate, walk the Via Dolorosa, visiting Pool of Bethesda, St Anne’s Church, Ecco Homo and finishing up at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Onwards to Mt Zion, the Room of the Last Supper and the Church of Peter in Gallicantu. Overnight Jerusalem. Day 6 Monday 1st December Nazareth – The Galilee Full day touring on transfer to the Galilee. Via Emmaus at Abu Gosh, Visit Nazareth, the birth town of Jesus, The Basilica of the Annunciation, Mary’s’ Well and onto the Nazareth Village, where a visitor commented - I thank God for the wonderful opportunity of visiting the Nazareth Village. It was like stepping into the ancient world of Jesus and the Nazarene community! It was an unforgettable, most memorable and life changing experience! (Winsome Loraine Peter). Onwards to Cana, here Jesus performed his first miracle – changing water in to wine.. Overnight on the shores of the Sea of Galilee Day 7 Tuesday 2nd December The Sea of Galilee Begin the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, see the ancient boat from the time of Jesus then visit the sites where Jesus preached and performed His miracles: The Mt of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Tabgha and Mensa Christi. Overnight the Galilee Day 8 Wednesday 3rd December Israel -UK Departure transfer to Ben Gurion airport home.
