Here is the last family we set this page up for , Mary & her 5 pups, rescued by Alexandra Sarau Unfortunately , there s been a major setback for them & altho they had been promised UK rescue spaces since February , the rescue now aren’t able to take them, They re living in very poor & cramped conditions as Alex has no pen or kennel for them as they should have been in UK by now & a large family of 6 month old boisterous pups need space & stimulation. With more than 50 others in her yard she just cant house them adequately. Fortunately , there is some good news amidst all this – Michelle Holmes of Save the Death Camp Dogs Campaign heard of their plight & has amazingly secured rescue spaces for 2 of them, Bonita & Buddy, to leave in 3 weeks. Helen Littlejohns & I are extremely grateful for this , knowing how hard pressed Michelle is already with placing her own campaign dogs. We re more on the fundraising side & don’t have many rescue contacts, so are delighted that 2 at least now have this chance, We will very soon be launching an auction to cover their travel costs. Helen is hard at work slaving over her sewing machine , so expect some more of her lovely & unique creations to be on offer to help the pups! Meanwhile if anyone knows of another GSD rescue that takes crosses & may be able to help with the remaining 4, please let us know . Or indeed any reputable rescue . . We wont turn our back on them & have pledged to raise their travel costs to wherever they go to. Lets start with the first 2 anyway & here is the link to the auction album being prepared.
