Here is the long awaited Swamp Muck Shake recipe. This is the generic recipe and should be changed to fit your liking. 1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen 1/2 small banana, fresh or frozen 1/2 cup chopped broccoli, steamed or raw 1 big handful kale (or you can use spinach) 1 cup milk 3 tbsp protein powder Add ice until you get the consistence you like best The main idea is to add green vegetables to you protein shake. Here are some of my personal tips: Switch strawberries with other berries (raspberries, black berries or other fruit). Double up on the bananas. Add a table spoon of peanut butter (I also us natural nut butter or roasted almond butter). Switch milk with almond milk or soy milk. I have a sweet tooth so I add Splenda most of the time. Add cinnamon or nutmeg. I like freezing my kale in a plastic bag. It’s just fun to squeeze the bag and break it into little pieces. Double on the kale and skip the broccoli. I like broccoli and eat it as a snack or with meals often. And here is my advice on protein powder, there are a lot of products out there some good more are not so good. Due to the high market cost of protein some manufacturers are using filler. These fillers may cause you to bulk up and prevent you from burning fat. In short do your research. My personal protein powder of choice is made by Blue Star (this is my opinion and is not opinion of USA Martial Arts or the other coaches).
