Here is the response I received directly from the woman that wrote the racist article at TD, Christine Marchildon. Mr. Brian Levitt reached out to me to share some of your concerns. We appreciate you taking the time to write to us. At TD, we look for candidates with the right set of skills and our priority is to hire the most qualified individuals first and foremost. I did not intend at any time to say otherwise and I apologize if my choice of words offended you. We set ourselves the goal of delivering exceptional service and to enable that we look to hire qualified individuals who reflect our markets, our customers and are able to serve them in their language of choice. Having the right mix of Francophone leaders in a largely francophone market is important, but not to the exclusion of other qualified candidates with different backgrounds and ethnicities.
