Here is the review of an impartial book by a Sri Lankan, Judge C. G. Weeramantry of the International Criminal Court, that would help the reader understand the blessings of Sharia: The author is a Christian Barrister and historian of International Law. He is not a bigot, his erudition is obvious, and he approaches the topic with both sensitivity and enthusiasm. The author makes an original contribution to legal history, in crafting an objective and non-sectarian approach to the topic. He honestly gives credit where credit is due, in shedding light on an often purposefully marginalized corner of legal history - the immense contributions of Islamic Shariat law, and its thinkers, in helping to inspire Western legal thinkers, creating contemporary attitudes and approaches to Human Rights, International Law of Nations, and International Law of War. Moreover he suggests ways in which non-Muslim and Muslim approaches to law can continue to interact in a creative dynamic. This book is difficult to obtain at times, but highly recommended. amazon/Islamic-Jurisprudence-C-G-Weeramantry/dp/0333446682/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414773015&sr=8-1&keywords=Islamic+jurisprudence+-+an+international+perspective
