Here is the trailer for my upcoming documentary: To Walk A Mile In Someone Elses Tsinelas (Sandals). If you were at the PSA Info Night!, then Im sure youve already seen this! In November of 2013, Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda struck the Philippines, killing approximately 6,000 individuals. This natural disaster has been recorded in history as one of the most catastrophic events to ever surface the planet. In the summer of 2014, Walbert Castillo, Jason Lamano & Eric Ordoñez embarked on a journey to the Philippines for relief work. We volunteered with Gawad Kalinga (Official Page) for two weeks in Leyte and Cebu assisting the local communities ravaged by the typhoon. We took part in activities that consisted of constructing houses, planting mangroves, educating the children, etc. The full documentary will be presented at a Philippine Student Association UIUC event in the near future so keep an eye out! Until then, here is our story. Hope you enjoy. Please like and share! Thank you so much.
