Here is the video of Tony Stewart hitting fellow driver, Kevin Ward Jr. Was it an accident, or as some are asserting, intentional? What say you? Personally, I feel that despite Stewarts known propensity for being a hot-head during such collisions, this was indeed an accident. He takes the sport seriously, I & just dont see him doing this intentionally, given the potential for such an outcome. And a certain amount of culpability HAS to be given to Ward. He shouldve known better than to get out of his car before the track officials arrived on-scene. Further, & this is where I assign culpability, he deliberately walked into the path of Stewarts car, when clearly, if he had stayed to the high side, next to his car, Stewart wouldve passed safely by. It should be pointed out too, that Stewart was questioned by local law enforcement, & released. Their position at this time, is that it was an accident, & are treating it as such, until the conclusion of the investigation. But at this time, do not anticipate any criminal charges being filed.
