Here is the video of last nights performance of Blue Bayou by RagTop featuring Daniel Kepel-Young on violin - and here is the back-story if you missed the other post: We had a fun night at Charleys - some friends came down from Amherst, VA and hung out for the evening. Daniel Kepel-Young sat in with us on a few songs - Daniel plays with the the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, had a jazz band called the Sophistacatz and plays with Jim Murphy as Slick and Murphy - Renee and I did some recording earlier this summer at Fainting Goat Studio run by Willie Gurley in Bedford. One of the songs was a cover of Linda Ronstadts Blue Bayou - later this summer Daniel was at Fainting Goat Studios recording with Jim Murphy. Willie played them our cover of Blue Bayou and Daniel did a couple takes adding a violin track. Later Jim Murphy gave me a copy at one of our shows - we listened to it and it was awesome! Daniel joined us performing that song last night and sat in on some more - we had a great time -
