Here is what I got back about are Laredo, TX yard. "Thank you for your concerns. As we work together to make this a better company, thoughts from the teammates out in the field help us grow and learn together as one. This strengthens our company. As we all know at times we must all adapt as progress takes time. Here are the items that may address your concerns: Laredo is a busy hub for us and also our gateway into Mexico. We have spent money there to build a very nice terminal and shop facility. We are currently in the planning stages to grow the paved yard. This will cause us pain, but in the end there will be great gain for us all. We have grown 17% & 25% in last two consecutive years and we’ve only added 25 parking spots. Chrysler loads do not deliver to broker, cleared in the yard that’s about 30 trailers a day and 3Q12 GM followed suit, another 10-15 spots a day. In total about 45 spots are no longer available on a daily basis. Please also be aware drivers both, PAM and MX, are double parking and/or parking in Central dock area. This causes some issues as well. PAM drivers blame MX drivers, but when we went out to see what trailers were out of place and where they came from it was about a 60/40 split. In other words, PAM drivers are more likely to drop trailer out of place or park in a way that prevents anothers from parking next to them. Even when there is space available if a driver is parking the driver behind them will simply drop the trailer blocking the others. This chain of events cases others to come behind each other and block the entire lane of traffic. In order for us to solve these issues we need help from drivers out in the field. We all need to think about the next guy and hope that attitude gets contagious. In the end everyone will be working to help everyone and hopefully the issues go away. “Together Everyone Achieves More”. That is a team win-win attitude! Growth is good, but with it comes with pains. We must adapt and overcome all.
